Ireland-headquartered AI-powered clinical documentation platform T-Pro has acquired UK-based BigHand Healthcare, a provider of workflow orchestration and optimisation solutions for the health sector, expanding its footprint across NHS trusts, private hospitals, and GP practices.

According to a report by Investors in Healthcare, the acquisition brings together T-Pro's Ambient Voice Technology and workflow optimisation capabilities with BigHand Healthcare's long-standing relationships across the UK health sector. With the deal completed, T-Pro is now working with 120 NHS trusts. All BigHand Healthcare employees will transition to T-Pro, bringing the combined team to close to 200 staff dedicated to transforming clinical documentation across the healthcare sector.

BigHand Healthcare, a division of BigHand, brings a 15-year heritage serving NHS trusts, private hospitals, and GP practices to the combined entity. BigHand is a portfolio company of Levine Leichtman Capital Partners, which invested in 2020. T-Pro received a minority investment from Livingbridge in 2023 and previously acquired New Zealand-based Sound Business Systems in 2025, a provider of clinical documentation software across New Zealand and Australia.

The acquisition positions T-Pro as a significantly larger player in the UK and Irish healthcare technology market, combining ambient voice documentation with established workflow orchestration capabilities across a client base spanning public and private healthcare settings. For private healthcare operators, the deal signals a consolidation of AI-driven clinical productivity tools under a single platform with proven deployment capability across complex health organisations.
