Industry NewsReacta Healthcare appoints World Allergy Organisation president-elect to advisory board amid Asia-Pacific expansion
Pharmaceutical-grade oral food challenge product developer Reacta Healthcare has appointed Professor Gary Wing-Kin Wong to its advisory board, signalling an accelerating push into the Asia-Pacific region as the company deepens its international clinical partnerships and pursues new product development opportunities.
According to Globe Newswire, Professor Wong is President-Elect of the World Allergy Organisation and Professor of Paediatrics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, with global clinical and research experience spanning Canada and Germany. He helped establish Hong Kong's participation in the International Study of Asthma and Allergies in Childhood, one of the world's largest collaborative allergy and asthma studies, covering more than 100 countries and nearly two million children.
Professor Wong said Reacta's commitment to raising diagnostic standards was central to his decision to join the board. "Reacta stands out in food allergy diagnosis for its innovation and its commitment to setting new standards in the field. I look forward to working with the company as it continues to explore ways to empower the development of therapies and diagnostics that impact the lives of people living with food allergies."
CEO Paul Abrahams said the advisory board plays a vital role in shaping the company's scientific direction. "Food allergy therapeutics and diagnostics are evolving rapidly. As an innovative, science-led business, we are actively pursuing new opportunities and new markets to better meet customer needs. We benefit enormously from the clinical and scientific guidance of our advisors."
Reacta has increased its workforce by 60% over the past year to support growing customer demand across Europe and the United States. The company is now directing that momentum towards the Asia-Pacific market, with Greater China.
