Asia Healthcare Holdings appoints Venkatesh Tarakkad as CFO and head of business development

India's Asia Healthcare Holdings, described as the country's only single-speciality investing and operating healthcare platform, has appointed Venkatesh Tarakkad as Chief Financial Officer and Head of Business Development, strengthening its financial and strategic leadership as the organisation scales its enterprise operations.

According to Express Healthcare, Tarakkad will oversee finance across all AHH companies as well as corporate functions including legal, business development and internal audit. He joins from edtech firm UpGrad, where he held the CFO role with responsibility for domestic and global financial strategy.

A Chartered Accountant with additional certifications in ICWA and CISA, Tarakkad brings more than three decades of experience spanning corporate finance, governance, mergers and acquisitions, IPO processes and business transformation. His career has included CFO roles across FMCG, retail and e-commerce, with a track record of scaling financial operations, establishing governance frameworks and leading funding rounds.

Executive Chairman Vishal Bali said the appointment comes at a pivotal point in the organisation's development. "His deep expertise in corporate finance, governance, and business transformation, along with his experience across diverse sectors will be extremely valuable as we continue to scale our enterprise."

Tarakkad said AHH's clinical focus aligned with his own values. "AHH's strong focus on clinical excellence and patient-centric care deeply resonates with me. I look forward to working closely with the leadership team to further strengthen our financial and strategic capabilities and support the organisation's long-term vision."

In a concurrent move, outgoing CFO Ritesh Pandey transitions to the newly created role of Chief Business Officer for New Initiatives, focusing on strategic partnerships and new business expansion. Bali described Pandey as a cornerstone of AHH since 2019, crediting him with architecting the financial strategy and executing the M&A transactions that shaped the platform's growth.
