This award celebrates an outstanding initiative within the private healthcare sector that has significantly enhanced patient support. It recognises programmes, projects, or strategies designed to improve patient experience, education, emotional support, access to services, or overall care quality. The winning initiative should demonstrate measurable impact and innovation and set a benchmark for excellence in patient-centered care in Ireland. Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for a clear plan and evidence that it is delivering on core objectives, paying particular attention to the criteria listed below.

  • Initiative Overview: Provide a concise summary of the patient support initiative. Include the purpose, target audience, and context within the private healthcare setting.
  • Objectives and Implementation: Outline the goals of the initiative and the approach taken to deliver it. Describe the planning, development, and rollout phases.
  • Patient Impact and Outcomes: Present measurable outcomes and data that demonstrate how the initiative improved patient support. Include patient feedback, testimonials, or case studies where possible.
  • Innovation and Creativity: Showcase any innovative or unique aspects of the initiative. Explain how the approach differed from standard practice or addressed a previously unmet need.
  • Collaboration and Engagement: Highlight the involvement of healthcare professionals, multidisciplinary teams, patients, or families. Describe how stakeholder input influenced the development or success of the initiative.
  • Supporting Statements & Testimonials: Include supporting documentation or testimonials that reinforce the initiative’s success and value. Provide endorsements from patients, staff, or leadership where appropriate.
