The awards programme recognises achievement across 29 categories spanning the full breadth of Ireland's private healthcare landscape, from Private Hospital of the Year and Excellence in Patient Care to Innovation of the Year, Best Use of Technology, and the Green Healthcare Achievement Award.

Entries are assessed by an independent judging panel drawn from academia, business, and related fields, with shortlisted entrants gaining national profiles through the programme's communication’s partnership with The Irish Times online.

Specifically, the 2026 judging panel includes Karen Charnley, CEO of the All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care; Claudia McGloin, regenerative medicine specialist and international speaker; Caroline Moran, Managing Director of Hibernian Healthcare at Home; Declan O'Callaghan, former Medical Director at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Wyeth, and Pfizer; Brid Seoighe, Medical Director at Johnson & Johnson Ireland; and John Sweeney, CEO of Health Care Informed.

Submissions are assessed through a structured multi-round process with full confidentiality maintained throughout. The entry deadline is 3 July 2026.
