Agentis Health Group, a UK pharmacy and digital health management specialist backed by mid-market private equity investor LDC, has acquired Clinical Pharmacist Solutions (CPS), a provider of outsourced pharmacy services, clinical support and training. The deal strengthens Agentis's healthcare division and lands as primary care providers face growing pressure to absorb more clinical work outside hospital settings.

CPS was founded in 2019 to deliver bespoke clinical pharmacy services to GPs and groups of practices.

"Joining Agentis will give us greater access to digital technology that will enable us to develop new services that complement our existing offer," said CPS chief executive Ruhina Kassam.

"The acquisition of CPS is a re-affirmation of our commitment to combining the expertise of pharmacy professionals with innovative digital technology to improve efficiency, access, and outcomes," said Agentis chief executive Stephen Tuddenham. "We see a huge opportunity in helping primary care to deliver long-term condition management at scale, to support the NHS' long-term policy agenda, and to assist patients improve their quality of life and care."

The structural driver behind the deal is the government's 10-Year Health Plan, which commits the NHS to three shifts: from hospital to community, from analogue to digital and from sickness to prevention. That framework rewards providers able to combine clinical pharmacy capacity with scalable digital infrastructure, the exact combination CPS brings to the group.

Agentis was established in September 2025 out of Ashtons, a medicines management and prescribing technology provider with roots in high street pharmacy. LDC first backed Ashtons in March 2020, and the business acquired Firza, a clinical pharmacy services provider, in December 2021. CPS is Agentis's second acquisition since it acquired Living With in December 2025.

For the sector, the CPS deal confirms that PE-backed primary care platforms are consolidating pharmacy and digital capability ahead of NHS reforms that reward integrated, technology-led delivery.
