Industry NewsHealthMutual Group and SinoUnited Health partner to extend cross-border private healthcare into Shanghai
Hong Kong-based healthcare management firm HealthMutual Group (HMG) and Shanghai-headquartered private healthcare provider SinoUnited Health (SUH) have signed a collaboration agreement to establish a cross-border medical service framework targeting growing demand for premium private healthcare across Mainland China.
Under the agreement, SinoUnited Health will serve as HMG's anchor hospital and primary healthcare hub in Shanghai, with HMG members gaining access to SUH's specialist network across Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Suzhou under fully transparent fee structures.
KC Chan, Founder of HealthMutual Group, said: "Partnering with SinoUnited Health is a natural expansion of our robust GBA network. SUH's reputation for excellence ensures that our vision — maintaining medical insurance as a sustainable funding source for quality care — now extends firmly into the Shanghai region."
Sharon Cheng, Vice President of Business Development at SinoUnited Health, added: "By combining HMG's massive regional reach with our world-class medical care, we are creating a seamless 'home-away-from-home' experience for patients."
HMG currently ranks within the top three in its industry by total new business premium, supporting over 700,000 clients and having processed HK$150 million (€16.49 million) in medical expenses to date. Its network connects 700 specialists and 13 private hospitals in Hong Kong with more than 2,000 hospitals across Mainland China.
To maintain service quality, both organisations will conduct quarterly professional exchanges and site inspections, allowing Hong Kong insurance partners direct access to SUH's international medical teams and clinical facilities.
SinoUnited Health, founded in 2016, ranks among the largest premium private healthcare providers in eastern China.
