Healthcare Ireland Group has finalised the purchase of Kathryn Homes, increasing its total portfolio to 38 care homes across Northern Ireland. The acquisition extends the organisation’s capacity to provide residential, nursing, and specialist care services to local communities.

The 13 newly acquired homes will initially retain the Kathryn Homes branding to maintain their local identity and community ties. Healthcare Ireland will integrate the homes into its wider operational and support structure, with full rebranding planned for early 2026.

Managing Director Gilbert Yates highlighted that the acquisition reinforces the company’s growth strategy and commitment to high-quality, person-centred care. He noted that the residents and staff at Kathryn Homes would benefit from Healthcare Ireland’s broader infrastructure, investment, and operational support while ensuring continuity of service standards.
