Dublin-headquartered insurance software provider FINEOS Corporation has announced a strategic partnership with US cloud-based platform Opifiny Corp., integrating automated medical information collection directly into FINEOS claims and absence management workflows to reduce processing delays and administrative burden across the North American market.

According to Business Wire, the partnership expands the FINEOS Partner Hub ecosystem and enables medical information gathered through Opifiny including attending physician statements and patient charts to flow directly into FINEOS AdminSuite, eliminating manual handling that has traditionally slowed claim cycle times and compromised data accuracy.

FINEOS CEO Michael Kelly said the integration delivers tangible operational outcomes for insurers. "By connecting APS data directly into FINEOS AdminSuite, we are helping clients reduce claim cycle time, improve data quality, and streamline claims and absence management processes across the full lifecycle, ultimately driving better outcomes for individuals when they need protection most."

Opifiny CEO Gabriel Tick said the arrangement addresses inefficiencies affecting all parties in the claims process. "Insurers need faster access to better data, but healthcare providers also need a better alternative to manual processes. Together with FINEOS, we will help carriers accelerate decisions while significantly reducing administrative burden for healthcare providers and creating a more connected experience for claimants, employers and providers."

The integration is designed to deliver measurable improvements across three areas: faster clinical and claims outcomes through structured data flows; reduced administrative cost by eliminating paper-based processing; and improved experiences for plan members and healthcare providers through greater transparency and fewer delays.

FINEOS holds a dominant position in the employee benefits insurance sector, serving seven of the ten largest employee benefits insurers in the US, two of the top six carriers in Canada, and holding a 70% market share in group insurance in Australia.
