This award honours outstanding caregivers within the private healthcare sector who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, compassion, and excellence in patient care. It recognises individuals who go above and beyond in providing support, ensuring the well-being of patients, and making a meaningful impact on healthcare delivery in Ireland. Nominations may be submitted by the individual themselves or by a third party, with the nominee's consent. Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for a clear plan and evidence that it is delivering on core objectives, paying particular attention to the criteria listed below. Entrants can be nominated by themselves or their colleagues, but please ensure you have their permission to do so.

  • Career Summary: Provide a concise overview of the nominee's career within the private healthcare sector. Highlight key roles, responsibilities, and years of service as a caregiver.
  • Excellence in Patient Care: Showcase examples of outstanding care and support provided to patients. Highlight specific instances where the nominee’s dedication has improved patient outcomes or well-being.
  • Compassion and Commitment: Demonstrate the nominee’s ability to provide compassionate, person-centered care. Provide examples of how they have gone above and beyond in their caregiving role.
  • Professionalism and Teamwork: Illustrate the nominee’s commitment to professionalism, collaboration, and teamwork. Highlight their ability to support colleagues, contribute to a positive work environment, and enhance overall healthcare services.
  • Continuous Learning and Development: Highlight additional training, certifications, or educational pursuits undertaken to enhance caregiving skills and knowledge. Illustrate a commitment to improving personal and professional development.
  • Supporting Statements & Testimonials: Include supporting statements or facts that reinforce the nominee’s qualifications. Provide testimonials from colleagues, supervisors, patients, or family members that speak to their dedication, skills, and compassionate approach to caregiving.
